Keystone staffing changes / updates

Keystone Parents,

I wanted to give you an update on some staffing changes at Keystone Elementary for next year.

-Ms. Anna Upah has accepted a position as a full time Instructional Coach at Atkins Elementary for next year.  She has been a fantastic member of our Keystone team and although we hate to see her go we are very excited for her to transition to this new professional challenge.  We are also very excited to know that her skill set and passion for education will still be utilized in the district.

-Mrs. Dena Bridgewater has been transitioned to the 1st grade opening that Ms. Upah left.  Mrs. Bridgewater has extensive experience in 1st grade and I see her and Mrs. Happel making a fantastic team next year.  If your child was on Ms. Upah's class list, they will have Mrs. Bridgewater next year.

-Mrs. Margo Redlinger was hired for the open 2nd grade position opening that was created by Mrs. Bridgewater transitioning to 1st grade.  Mrs. Redlinger is very excited to be coming to Keystone Elementary to join our passionate and dedicated staff.  If your child had Mrs. Bridgewater as their teacher for 2nd grade next year, they will have Mrs. Redlinger.

-Miss Kayla Beck was hired in a new position that will be shared with Atkins Elementary.  It is a position dedicated to supporting classroom learning interventions that are needed throughout the year as well as working with students we identify as at-risk.  Miss Beck is extremely excited to be joining our Keystone and Atkins teams.  We are very excited about what this new position can do to support our needs at Keystone.

***Please continue pushing your child to read 20-30 minutes a day throughout the summer to prevent against the summer slide.

If you have any questions or needs throughout the summer please give me a call at 319-442-3221 or email me at rjunge@benton.k12.ia.us.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Mr. Junge
